Our story began in our kitchen back in 2017, experimenting with making my own ice cream. As long as I can remember, I’ve always loved ice cream. As an experienced cook and self-taught baker, I decided out of pure curiosity to go down the rabbit hole of learning everything I could about ice cream so I could create my own recipe to enjoy with my family at home.

After several failed attempts and hundreds of dollars wasted on products, I eventually figured it out. It all came down to technique and the science behind it.

As a nurse by trade, serving the community I call home taught me resilience, compassion, and the deep satisfaction of making a difference in someone’s life. But as much as I loved nursing, a quiet dream always lived in my heart. I can’t remember a time when opening my own restaurant wasn’t on my mind. It has always been my dream to one day create a family-friendly space serving all homemade food made from fresh ingredients.

Through my years in healthcare, I learned just how precious time with family truly is and how every single day holds something worth celebrating. When I dreamed of opening a restaurant business I knew I wanted it to reflect on what matters most: faith, family, and the joy of people happily together. And what better way to bring people together than with ice cream?

But, I didn’t want to serve just any ice cream. I wanted to create my own, made with passion and real ingredients. I wanted to share something truly special with our community. So I set off on a journey to learn everything I could about the dairy industry, the rules, the regulations, and starting a homemade ice cream business.

Then, nine years later, from that one experiment in my kitchen and the dream of being in the food industry, CynTney’s Ice Cream was born.

Together with my husband, our mobile food truck opened on April 25th, 2026.

It’s been an incredible, fun & exciting journey, and we’re so grateful to share it with you.

We’re a family-owned business, rooted right here in North Alabama, and everything we do is
about bringing people together.
